His professional career included significant contributions at Honeywell, where he worked on control systems for space shuttles, and later as a lead research scientist for the Minnesota Department of Health. Stroud was also a beloved educator, teaching mathematics and statistics at Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Cardinal Stritch University. He is survived by his wife, Rhoda, their two children, David and Lara, and many extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on May 1, 2026, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
