The Kings started strong, with openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya scoring 22 runs in the first over, marking the highest first-over score for PBKS in IPL history. Arya went on to score 56 runs off 33 balls, while Shreyas Iyer contributed an impressive 59 runs off 36 balls, achieving his 32nd IPL half-century. This performance places Iyer in an elite group, as he becomes the third batter to score three consecutive fifties against DC, joining the ranks of Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid.
