On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for 163 development projects in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, amounting to over ₹6,330 crore. These projects encompass a wide range of developments, including enhanced connectivity through the launch of two Amrit Bharat trains connecting Kashi to Pune and Ayodhya to Mumbai. The prime minister emphasized the government's focus on citizen-centric initiatives, highlighting education, healthcare, and grievance redressal as top priorities. Notably, a 500-bed multi-super speciality hospital is set to bolster healthcare services in the region, alongside a newly laid foundation for a 100-bed critical care block. Modi also outlined various community-focused projects, such as cleaning the Ganga, developing ghats, and constructing facilities for farmers and the elderly. The prime minister reiterated the importance of preserving Kashi's heritage through the development of Sant Kabir Sthali and the restoration of Sant Ravidas Park, reflecting a commitment to sensitive and people-oriented development.
