Veterinary Officer Vikas Kumar has noted an increase in heat-related ailments among the animals, leading to treatments that include intravenous drips and antibiotics. To mitigate these health risks, Kumar advises goat owners to ensure their animals are well-hydrated and to limit their exposure to direct sunlight. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that heatwave conditions are expected to persist across several districts in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in the east. Eid al-Adha, which honors Prophet Ibrahim's obedience to God, involves the ritual slaughter of healthy livestock, with the meat distributed to family and those in need.
