Government doctors in Telangana have called off their planned protests after receiving assurances from Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha regarding their transfer issues. The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) had staged protests on June 5, citing the failure to implement Government Order (G.O.) No. 38 effectively during the transfer process. The association demanded that the transfers be carried out transparently and in accordance with the provisions of the government order, which includes considerations for doctors in the three-year priority and 'Zero Spouse' categories, as well as exemptions for elected leaders of the recognized doctors’ association. Following the Minister's commitment to examine these concerns, the TGGDA decided to withdraw their protest plans. Director of Medical Education A. Narendra Kumar stated that outpatient, inpatient, and surgical services in government hospitals continued to operate normally, indicating that the situation had stabilized after the Minister's intervention.
