The district administration has launched an investigation into the incident, collecting water samples for laboratory testing to confirm the source of the illness. According to Sanchit Dhemri, Chief Officer of Jal Jeevan Mission Guna, a team was dispatched immediately upon receiving reports of children falling ill. Symptoms among the affected children included vomiting, loose motions, abdominal pain, and in some cases, jaundice. Currently, around ten children aged between five and eleven years have been admitted to the district hospital. Fortunately, their conditions are stable, with no critical cases reported. The administration is awaiting lab results to determine if the contaminated water was indeed responsible for the outbreak, as the water tank serving the affected area supplies water to multiple wards.
