In response to growing traffic congestion and safety concerns, Gurugram's traffic police will enhance enforcement at the Gwal Pahari junction. Following an inspection by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Prateek Gehlot, officials will increase personnel during peak hours, recalibrate signal timings, and take strict action against illegal parking and encroachments. The Gwal Pahari junction, a critical area where highway traffic converges with local vehicles, has witnessed a series of serious accidents, including fatalities involving both pedestrians and cyclists. To address these issues, traffic police spokesperson Vikas Verma stated that a team is currently assessing corrective measures, though no timeline for implementation has been established yet. The initiative aims to improve traffic flow and reduce accidents in this high-risk area.
