Everclear Films is expanding its portfolio into international long-form content with the announcement of three new projects, including a U.K. drama and a psychological thriller. The first project, 'Making Maya' (working title), is inspired by the true story of Maya Arputham, a transgender prosecutor in the U.K. who faces challenges within the legal system. The script is complete, and discussions for funding and directing are currently underway. The second project, '16/32,' is a psychological horror-thriller directed by Aditya Nair, centering on a fashion photographer named John. After receiving a mysterious photo frame, John's life spirals into chaos as he confronts a malevolent force tied to his past. This project is in pre-production and partly funded, with filming set to occur in the U.K. The third project, 'Badaa Kaam' (working title), is a Hindi-language feature directed by Samit Kakad, which has secured international financing from multiple countries. These announcements follow the success of Everclear's debut feature 'Mercy,' which premiered in the Netherlands and is scheduled for international release in June.
