Wendy Kopp, a 1989 graduate of Princeton University and the founder of Teach For America, has been selected as the Class Day speaker for 2026. Scheduled for May 25 on Cannon Green, the event is organized by the senior class and features speeches by graduating students alongside Kopp's address. Kopp's work has significantly impacted educational opportunities for children in under-resourced K-12 schools across the United States, inspiring over 70,000 college graduates to join the cause. In 2007, she co-founded Teach For All, which operates in more than 60 countries, promoting local leadership in education. Kopp's accolades include the 2021 WISE Prize for Education and recognition by Time magazine as one of the World’s 100 Most Influential People. Her previous engagements at Princeton include serving as a Baccalaureate speaker for the Class of 2022.
