The Telangana government has announced that the Telangana Advocates Protection Act, 2026, will officially take effect on June 2, 2026. This legislation is designed to protect advocates from violence, threats, and harassment. The announcement was made through a Government Order from the Law Department, signed by B Papi Reddy, Secretary to Government, Legal Affairs, Legislative Affairs and Justice. On the same day, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy celebrated Telangana State Formation Day by outlining his ambitious 'Telangana Rising - 2047' vision. He aims to transform the state into a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047.
