The Vilavancode Assembly Constituency, located in Kanniyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, is gearing up for the 2026 elections with 12 candidates contesting for the seat. Among the candidates are Vijayadharani S from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Praveen TT from the Indian National Congress (INC). The constituency is reserved for the General category and has a population where 2.11% belong to the Scheduled Caste and 0.22% to the Scheduled Tribe communities. With 225,219 voters, including 113,226 women, the constituency boasts a literacy rate of 92.14% as per the 2011 Census. Voting is scheduled for April 23, 2026, and counting will occur on May 4, 2026. In the last elections held in 2021, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) led Secular Progressive Alliance secured 159 out of 234 seats, while the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) led National Democratic Alliance won 75 seats.
