This achievement made him the first player to score two IPL hundreds in less than 40 balls. However, his performance was overshadowed by criticism from Pakistan cricket expert Nauman Niaz, who suggested that Sooryavanshi used an AI chip in his bat to enhance his performance. In response to these allegations, Vaibhav humorously stated that he attributes his success to a 'chip' installed by God, saying, “God has put something in it (bat).” Vaibhav's impressive form continued as he scored 43 runs off 16 balls in a subsequent match against the Punjab Kings, bringing his total sixes in T20s to 99, just one shy of the record for the fastest to reach 100 sixes.
