The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) have expressed their support for the delimitation of constituencies in India, while simultaneously urging the central government to address concerns regarding the potential underrepresentation of southern states. BRS working president KT Rama Rao (commonly known as KTR) warned that any reduction in parliamentary representation for southern states could lead to widespread public agitation across the region. He reiterated the party's longstanding demand for an increase in assembly and Lok Sabha seats as outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of 2014. KTR emphasized that the people of southern states will not tolerate any attempts to diminish their voice and representation. Meanwhile, YSRCP state coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy expressed the party's commitment to the delimitation process, highlighting the necessity of ensuring adequate representation in line with population growth. Reddy also stressed the importance of addressing public concerns and ensuring that changes to constituency boundaries do not inconvenience local populations. Both parties advocate for a fair and inclusive delimitation process that maintains public confidence and calls for immediate implementation of women's reservation without linking it to this process.
