Annastacia Palaszczuk, the former Premier of Queensland, has distanced herself from her partner, Dr. Reza Adib, after he was charged with serious offenses, including three counts of rape. Following his arrest, Palaszczuk has not been seen at their Gold Coast apartment, which has become a crime scene. Adib, a 65-year-old surgeon, was spotted at his $7 million villa in Brisbane, where he is living under strict bail conditions. His medical registration was suspended shortly after the charges were filed, terminating his lucrative weight-loss surgery practice. Adib faces six charges, including two counts of deprivation of liberty and one count of sexual assault. The couple, who had previously enjoyed a high-profile relationship, have not appeared together since the allegations surfaced. Palaszczuk has also suspended her national book tour for her memoir amidst the ongoing legal situation. Adib's case is set to return to Southport Magistrates Court on July 7, and his medical registration will remain suspended until further notice.
