The Seymour Oxford Food Bank, in partnership with Seymour Food 2 Kids, is launching a summer meal bag program aimed at supporting children in Seymour and Oxford, Connecticut. This initiative is designed to provide essential meals during the summer months when school meals are unavailable. Families with children can sign up for the program until June 6, 2023. The meal bags will be distributed weekly from June 24 to August 19, 2023, ensuring that children receive both breakfast and lunch. Pickup will take place every Wednesday at the Seymour Oxford Food Bank, located at 20 Pine St., with designated times from 10 to 11 a.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.. In addition to meal distribution, the food bank is actively seeking donations to support this initiative, emphasizing its commitment to helping local children in need.
