Kedarnath Dham, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India, has experienced a remarkable influx of over 90,000 pilgrims within the first three days of its reopening on April 22, 2023. On the first day, 38,000 devotees performed ‘darshan’, followed by 25,000 on the second day, and more than 30,000 on the third day. The Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police, Niharika Tomar, noted the heavy enthusiasm among devotees and emphasized the implementation of strict security measures to manage the large crowds.
