A new study conducted by Hyatt has revealed that Italy is the top honeymoon destination for couples seeking lasting happiness in their marriages. The survey found that 88% of couples who honeymooned in Italy reported being happily married, compared to 87% for Thailand and 85% for Indonesia. The study, which polled 2,000 couples, highlighted that the ideal honeymoon lasts 13 days and costs around £9,610 (approximately $12,000 USD). Interestingly, while the UK is the most common honeymoon destination, only 76% of couples who chose to stay there reported marital happiness. The survey also noted a shift in honeymoon trends, with many couples considering options like 'buddy moons' and 'mini moons.' Overall, the findings emphasize the significance of choosing a memorable destination for newlyweds, as it can impact their marital satisfaction in the long run.
