Mentink humorously noted the shift from traditional methods, saying, 'We've come a long way from pen and paper when I started in 1997.' Mentink made history as the first woman to hold a regular in-game color analyst position for the Mariners, and she expressed gratitude for the team's support during her recovery, emphasizing her desire to return to normalcy in her role.
