A tragic explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Konsai village, Wada taluka, Palghar district, Maharashtra, resulted in the deaths of two individuals and serious injuries to four others. The incident occurred around 12 PM on Tuesday while workers were engaged in the chemical mixing process to manufacture 'twine bombs.' The explosion claimed the life of Bhavesh Dileep Vavare instantly, while Monica Sachin Padvale succumbed to her injuries later at a hospital. Four other workers, including Monica Mahendra Jadhav and Jagruti Jagdish Gavate, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine if the facility adhered to safety regulations and held the necessary licenses, as the unit had only begun operations on April 10. The explosion caused the factory shed to collapse, scattering debris and body parts in the vicinity. This incident follows a similar tragedy in Tamil Nadu, where a firecracker factory explosion resulted in 23 fatalities.
