Sam reported that the account quickly gained traction, amassing over 10,000 followers within a month and generating income through subscriptions and merchandise, earning him a few thousand dollars monthly. Experts like Valerie Wirtschafter from the Brookings Institution note that AI-generated influencers are becoming more credible, especially when they tap into political identities. However, Instagram eventually removed Emily Hart's account for 'fraudulent activity,' raising concerns about the implications of AI in social media. Despite his success, Sam does not view his actions as scamming, asserting that users willingly engaged with the content. He has since stepped back from the AI influencer scene.
