KPI Green Energy's shares rose by 2.21% to ₹450.55 after the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) granted it an inter-state power trading license (Category IV). This license enables the company to trade electricity across state boundaries, allowing for better alignment with regional demand and enhancing its operational flexibility in India's national power markets. Previously, KPI had received an intra-state trading license from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). With the new inter-state license, KPI can access demand centers in multiple states and dynamically allocate power based on market conditions, improving sales timing and location. Dr. Faruk G. Patel, chairman and managing director, stated that this license strengthens their market operations and supports better price discovery. In Q3 FY26, KPI Green Energy reported a consolidated net profit of ₹125.80 crore, a 47.73% increase from ₹85.15 crore in Q3 FY25, with total revenue rising 45% year-on-year to ₹676 crore.
