The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Mumbai has announced that Pune, located in Maharashtra, India, will host the preliminary round of the global quiz program, 'Quiz on Korea 2026', on June 28, 2026. This event is organized in collaboration with Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), alongside the King Sejong Institute in Pune. The quiz provides participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of Korea's language, culture, history, and society, while also fostering greater interest in the country. It serves as a flagship cultural diplomacy initiative of the South Korean government, with preliminary rounds held globally through Korean diplomatic missions. The winner from Pune will advance to the global finals in Korea and will have the chance to experience Korean culture firsthand. The Consulate aims to strengthen cultural ties and mutual understanding between India and South Korea through this initiative. Registrations for the quiz are currently open via the Consulate's official Instagram account.
