Amid ongoing discussions about the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is currently the largest cricket venue globally with a capacity of approximately 132,000, Lalit Modi suggested that it might need to be demolished to create a better fan experience. He clarified that his intention was not to criticize the stadium but to advocate for a more ambitious vision for sports infrastructure in India. Modi argued that with the financial backing of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian cricket should aspire to build stadiums that rival the world's best. He also proposed that stadiums should be utilized year-round, transforming them into integrated entertainment destinations with modern facilities to enhance the overall experience for fans.
