Quoting Nabin, BJP Member of Legislative Council (MLC) C T Ravi stated that the Congress party has been vocal against the SIR process, despite similar actions being acceptable when conducted by past Congress leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. Nabin alleged that while Congress publicly opposes the SIR, they are simultaneously conducting voter mapping through local camps. He also claimed that the Congress party has previously targeted specific communities, such as Gowdas, Lingayats, and Brahmins, by manipulating electoral rolls to delete their votes. Nabin cautioned that even minor deletions could significantly impact electoral outcomes, urging BJP workers to remain vigilant.
