In Aguilar, Pangasinan, a new municipal ordinance has been enacted to provide a monthly longevity incentive of P350 for senior citizens aged 80 to 99. This initiative, formalized through Municipal Ordinance No. 69-2026, was approved by the Aguilar Sangguniang Bayan on May 18. The cash incentive will be available to seniors who have been actual residents of Aguilar for at least five years, and it will be granted irrespective of their financial circumstances. The ordinance was signed by the town's 10 councilors and is supported by Vice Mayor Jesus Zacumo Jr. and Mayor Ballesteros Soriano. A total of P3.2 million has been allocated for the program in the 2026 budget, with records from the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs indicating that approximately 719 residents are expected to receive this monthly benefit. This program aims to enhance the welfare of the elderly community in Aguilar.
