During a recent event in Langthabal Assembly Constituency, Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh appealed to the public to maintain harmony and be vigilant against divisive elements. He inaugurated five development projects, including three water supply schemes—Karam, Haoreibi, and Lilong Chajing—and two community halls at Naran Konjil Mayai Leikai and Naorem Leikai in Imphal West. The Chief Minister stressed that peace is essential for development and has been actively engaging with various communities to address their grievances. He acknowledged the unfortunate incidents that have disrupted peace and assured that the culprits will be identified. Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho commended the Chief Minister's outreach efforts, which have garnered appreciation from residents in remote areas. MLA Karam Shyam noted that the new water supply schemes would improve access to clean drinking water and that the community halls would alleviate long-standing issues related to organizing local events. He also raised concerns about inter-village road conditions, urging further action from the Chief Minister.
