Hindustan Zinc's shares rose by 4.63% to an intraday high of ₹615.75 following the announcement of its robust financial results for the fourth quarter of FY26. The company reported a remarkable 68% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax, amounting to ₹5,033 crore, up from ₹3,003 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also surged by 49% YoY to ₹13,544 crore, showcasing strong operational performance. The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached a record ₹7,747 crore, with margins expanding to an impressive 57%. The quarter also marked record production levels, with mined metal production hitting 315 kilotonnes and refined metal output reaching 282 kilotonnes. Additionally, the company announced its first interim dividend for FY27, declaring ₹11 per equity share, which amounts to a total payout of ₹4,648 crore. The record date for dividend eligibility is set for April 30, 2026.
