The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) in Tamil Nadu has announced an extension for the registration deadline for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026. Candidates can now apply online until June 5, 2026, through the official TNEA portal. As of now, over 2.81 lakh candidates have registered, with more than 2.17 lakh having completed fee payments and around 1.84 lakh having uploaded necessary documents. The updated schedule allows candidates to upload supporting documents until June 6, while certificate verification at TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) is set to commence on June 8. The random number, which helps resolve tie situations in rankings, will be issued on June 10, and the rank list is anticipated to be published later this month. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category are required to pay an application fee of ₹250, while those from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category must pay ₹500. Eligible students can follow the registration process on the official TNEA website, ensuring they complete all necessary steps before the deadline.
