Wonderla Holidays, an amusement park operator, reported strong early performance from its newly launched park in Chennai, India, which opened in December 2025. The park attracted 75,000 visitors in its first month, aided by holiday demand and promotional activities. By the March 2026 quarter, footfalls reached approximately 191,000, averaging around 64,000 visitors per month, comparable to established parks in Kochi and Hyderabad. The Chennai park generated ₹29.4 crore in revenue, contributing to the company's total quarterly revenue of ₹135 crore. The management highlighted an EBITDA margin of about 30%, with expectations to increase to over 40% as utilization improves over the next three years. Despite macroeconomic challenges and a heatwave affecting parts of the country, the park's performance remained resilient. Wonderla anticipates that the Chennai park will mature within three to four years, potentially becoming one of the largest parks by scale and revenue. The company also opened a new attraction, the Sky Wheel tower, in April to enhance the visitor experience.
