The Congress party, led by Gaurav Gogoi, is trailing significantly, with only two seats and its ally, the Assam Jatiya Parishad, securing one seat. Notably, Gogoi is behind BJP candidate Hitendranath Goswami in the Jorhat constituency by over 1,000 votes. The NDA coalition is aiming to secure a third consecutive term in Assam, following favorable exit poll predictions.
