N Marie Wilson, a candidate from R K Nagar, emphasized that the party is confident of favorable results based on direct interactions with voters over the past month. He dismissed speculation about an alliance with the AIADMK and instead highlighted a significant shift in voter support from both the DMK and AIADMK towards TVK. C T Nirmal Kumar, another TVK candidate, described the election as unprecedented, likening it to a festival, with voters eager for political change. Kumar also raised concerns about violence against TVK members by DMK supporters, stating that they have reported these incidents to the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Election Commission, seeking additional protection for their functionaries. Further instructions for winning candidates will be provided after the results are announced.
