The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Vadakara, Kozhikode, India, has launched a new science lab to encourage school students to explore scientific concepts during the vacation season. Named after renowned scientist E.C.G. Sudarshan, the lab features five distinct areas: a ‘Physics Zone’, ‘Maths Zone’, ‘Chemistry and Biology Zone’, ‘Outdoor Science Park’, and ‘Virtual Reality Experience Zone’. On the first day of the exhibition, held on April 18, 2026, 70 students from seven sub-districts in the Vadakara educational district participated, accompanied by parents and teachers. The students engaged in various activities, experimenting with scientific principles and concepts they learn in school. Each participant received mementos and certificates, highlighting the initiative's focus on practical learning and engagement in science.
