The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has officially extended its unconditional support to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by Joseph Vijay, significantly boosting the coalition's strength to 121 MLAs. This coalition now includes five parties: Congress, CPI, CPI(M), Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and IUML. TVK, which made a remarkable debut by winning 108 seats in the recent assembly elections, previously lacked the majority needed to form a government.
