Coffee Day Global Ltd, which operates Cafe Coffee Day, has returned to profitability in FY26, achieving a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹14 crore. This is a notable recovery from a loss of ₹175.92 crore in FY25. The company's revenue from operations increased by 5.7%, reaching ₹1,094 crore. Operating profit (EBITDA) also saw a significant rise of 27%, totaling ₹198 crore. Despite these positive figures, the number of Cafe Coffee Day outlets fell to 424 from 435 the previous year, and Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) was reported at a negative 1.72%. On a brighter note, the vending machine segment expanded, with the number of machines increasing to 55,802. The parent company, Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd, also returned to profit, reporting a PAT of ₹210.14 crore compared to a loss of ₹143.20 crore in FY25, with operational revenue of ₹1,154.40 crore. This performance indicates a strategic focus on profitability and growth in the vending machine business despite the reduction in cafe locations.
