To honor what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday on April 21, Buckingham Palace released a new portrait of the Royal Family. The image features King Charles III and Queen Camilla at its center, surrounded by nine other working royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Anne. This gathering followed a reception hosted by Charles and Camilla for representatives from 45 organizations associated with the late Queen's patronage during her 70-year reign. Notably absent from the portrait were several non-working royals, such as Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Their absence aligns with King Charles's belief in highlighting only the working members of the monarchy. The young children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are not yet working royals, also did not appear in the photograph.
