In Bhati Mines, South Delhi, police recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy who had been reported missing. Two 16-year-old boys, acquaintances of the victim, were arrested for allegedly murdering him. The victim, a Class 8 student, went out to play but did not return home, prompting his parents to file a missing person report. After a delay in police response, a case of kidnapping was registered, which later included murder charges. Following inquiries, the two boys confessed to strangling the victim during an argument and disposing of his body in a forested area. The incident has shaken the local community, leading to protests demanding justice and accountability from authorities. The victim’s family expressed frustration over the police's initial handling of the case, alleging that officers at the Maidangarhi police station were unresponsive when they sought help.
