A 29-year-old man, Ahmad Alkozai, has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, prompting police to respond to reports of an attack on Walford Road at approximately 6:20 PM. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the victim, believed to be in his 40s, succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Alkozai was arrested in the Bristol area on Friday, less than a day after the incident, and is currently remanded in custody, awaiting a court appearance at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Monday. Authorities suspect that the stabbing was a targeted attack involving individuals who were familiar with each other. In connection with the investigation, three additional men were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released on conditional bail. The victim's family is receiving support from specially trained officers as the investigation continues.
