On May 1, 2023, during a ceremony in Islamabad, Pakistan and China solidified their bilateral relations by signing two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and a joint venture agreement. President Asif Ali Zardari, who was on a week-long visit to China’s Hunan and Hainan provinces, attended the event, which also featured a documentary celebrating 75 years of Pakistan–China friendship. One key agreement was established between the Sindh Livestock & Fisheries Department and China’s Luoyang Modern Biology Group, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the livestock and fisheries sector, particularly in improving animal health services.
