Manav Garg, who co-founded and served as managing partner of the Together Fund, has taken on the role of executive chairman at AI startup Emergent. This move marks Garg's return to an operational position after years in venture capital. In his announcement via LinkedIn, Garg emphasized his commitment to supporting both the founders at Emergent and the portfolio companies of Together Fund. Emergent, which has received substantial backing from Together Fund, raised $70 million in January 2025, building on a previous $23 million investment in September 2025. The startup, which competes with established names like Lovable and Replit, has achieved an impressive annualized run rate (ARR) exceeding $100 million, as noted by CEO Mukund Jha. Garg highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations, stating that the shift from software creation to operational integration is significant and requires active engagement. His extensive experience includes co-founding Eka Software Solutions and SaaSBoomi, as well as backing several early-stage startups through Together Fund.
