Actress Celina Jaitly has made serious allegations against her husband, Peter Haag, resulting in a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Mumbai Police at Versova Police Station. The FIR, registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, includes claims of cruelty, physical harm, criminal intimidation, and harassment. This legal action coincides with ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, where Celina seeks ₹50 crore (approximately $6 million USD) in damages for financial abuse. She alleges that Haag prohibited her from working and pressured her to transfer ownership of their Mumbai residence while she was dealing with personal tragedies, including the loss of her newborn child and both parents.

In her petition, Celina also claims severe emotional, physical, and verbal abuse, which led her to return to India without her children. Amidst these allegations, a Look Out Circular has been issued against Haag due to his failure to cooperate with the investigation. Celina has shared emotional updates on social media, expressing her trauma and detailing the sacrifices she made for her family, including moving across countries to support Haag's career. She has also voiced concerns about being denied communication with her children despite joint custody agreements, alleging that Haag has interfered with her relationship with them.
