मथुरा जिले में भीषण गर्मी को देखते हुए सभी विद्यालयों में 20 मई 2023 से ग्रीष्मकालीन अवकाश घोषित किया गया है। इस दौरान सभी समर कैंपों, एक्स्ट्रा क्लास, खेलकूद और सांस्कृतिक आयोजनों पर रोक लगा दी गई है। जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी रतन कीर्ति के अनुसार, विद्यालयों को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे ऑनलाइन माध्यम से या अभिभावकों को बुलाकर गृहकार्य दें। छात्रों को किसी भी स्थिति में स्कूल आने के लिए बाध्य नहीं किया जाएगा। गर्मी की वजह से आम जनजीवन प्रभावित हो रहा है, और बाजारों में सन्नाटा छा गया है। हाल ही में बिजली की आपूर्ति में भी बाधा आई जब गोकुल से राया आ रही विद्युत लाइन में फॉल्ट आ गया। इससे लोग गर्मी में परेशान हो गए। बिजली कर्मियों ने देर रात तक फॉल्ट को ठीक किया, लेकिन तब तक लोगों को काफी कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा।
