Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, who also chairs the District Disaster Management Authority, has made it mandatory for all watercraft to carry an adequate number of life jackets, lifebuoys, safety ropes, and first-aid kits. Every participant must wear a life jacket, and no activities will be allowed without compliance. The administration has prohibited overloading of boats and requires that only trained and certified personnel operate watercraft. Regular technical inspections will be conducted to ensure safety equipment is fit for use. Additionally, multilingual warning boards will be installed to inform tourists about safety protocols and risks. Violations of these guidelines will result in severe penalties, including cancellation of licenses and legal action under the Disaster Management Act of 2005. The administration emphasizes that public safety is paramount and will not be compromised.
