Jennifer Alverado, a 20-year-old from California, has shared how the global K-pop sensation BTS provided her with crucial emotional support during her battle with pulmonary hypertension. Diagnosed at 15, Jennifer faced significant challenges, including a double lung transplant at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health in October 2024. Throughout her difficult journey, BTS's music and performances became a source of strength, helping her cope with the pain and exhaustion of her illness. She often listened to their songs and attempted to learn their choreography, even while using oxygen support. After her successful transplant, she was gifted tickets to a BTS concert on May 16, which she describes as a “dream come true.” The song 'Dis-ease' particularly resonated with her, reflecting her struggles and determination. BTS's ARIRANG World Tour, which began in April 2026, marks the group's first full-group concert tour in four years, featuring over 85 shows across 34 cities until March 2027.
