A remarkable archaeological discovery was made at the Panhesy Tomb in Heliopolis, where an almost-complete ancient Egyptian funerary set was found. This significant find, announced by Egypt's Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, includes a copper mirror, two alabaster kohl vessels still containing residue, and a black obsidian kohl vessel. The discovery, hailed as the first near-complete set in the area, sheds light on the daily life and funerary practices of ancient Egyptians. Additional artifacts uncovered include pale blue faience vessels, scarabs, and amulets, along with five pairs of presumed gold earrings. Mohamed Abdel-Badie, Head of the Egyptian Antiquities Sector, noted the importance of these findings for understanding the site's historical context. The excavation follows previous discoveries of mud-brick and limestone structures, including a gilded coffin linked to a military figure, emphasizing the site's rich archaeological significance.
