This innovative device can physically connect to samplers like the K.O. II groovebox using pegs, making it a central piece for portable setups. The mixer is versatile, compatible with a wide range of devices including phones, computers, and synthesizers, though some may need cable adapters. It features standard volume faders, a three-band EQ, and a compressor for each channel, along with a variety of onboard effects such as delay and tape saturation. Users can control these effects using a pressure-sensitive pad and mod stick, and a full-color screen is available for fine-tuning settings. Additionally, the EP-136 can operate as a multi-channel audio interface and MIDI controller. It is powered by AAA batteries or a USB-C connection and is priced at $180, reflecting Teenage Engineering's shift towards more accessible pricing, especially considering the EP-series samplers retail for $329.
