On Wednesday morning, a devastating accident occurred near Kiratpur village in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, India, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including three women from the same family. The victims were returning from a mundan ceremony at the Chandrika Devi temple when their SUV collided with two dumpers on the Sumerpur–Buxar road. The accident happened around 9:30 AM at a blind turn, where the SUV driver attempted to overtake a dumper. Upon noticing another dumper approaching, he braked, causing a second dumper to crash into the SUV from behind, pushing it into the first dumper and ultimately overturning it. Tragically, the second dumper then toppled onto the SUV. The deceased have been identified as Geeta (50), Sunita (35), Bitan (52), Jyoti (33), Archana (52), and Ramdhani Yadav (50), the SUV driver. Four others, including a three-year-old boy, were injured and initially treated at a community health center before being referred to a district hospital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences and directed officials to ensure proper medical care for the injured. Traffic on the route was disrupted for several hours as rescue operations were conducted.
