The 2026 ASCAP Latin Music Awards took place on May 5 in Miami, celebrating outstanding achievements in Latin music. Colombian songwriter Keityn won songwriter of the year for the third time, recognized for his contributions to hits like Karol G's “Coleccionando Heridas.” Romeo Santos, known as the King of Bachata, was awarded songwriter-artist of the year, thanks to his recent hits such as “Ángel” and “Desde Hoy.” The prestigious Latin Song of the Year award went to “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” performed by Karol G and written by ASCAP songwriter Rios, which dominated the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks. Daddy Yankee, the most decorated Latin ASCAP songwriter, added two more awards to his collection, bringing his total to 64. Universal Music Publishing Group was recognized as Latin music publisher of the year for the fourth consecutive year, representing major artists like Bad Bunny and Rauw Alejandro. Other notable winners included Feid, Natanael Cano, and Danny Ocean.
