KG Mobility, part of South Korea's KG Group, announced plans to launch seven eco-friendly vehicle models by 2030, targeting annual sales of 200,000 units and projected revenue of $6.6 billion. The automaker aims to increase its operating margin to 5%, up from 1.3% last year, during which it sold about 110,000 vehicles generating $2.8 billion in revenue. To bolster its international presence, KG Mobility plans to increase exports from 64% to over 70% of total sales. In a strategic move, the company is acquiring K Car, the largest used-car platform in South Korea, for $360 million, which is expected to close pending regulatory approval. KG Group Chairman Kwak Jea-sun emphasized the goal of transforming K Car into a global platform to facilitate vehicle transactions. Additionally, KG Group announced a policy to return 50% of net earnings to shareholders over the next five years, which will apply to six of its subsidiaries, including KG Mobility. Following these announcements, KG Mobility's share price surged 11.5% on the Seoul stock exchange, outperforming the benchmark KOSPI index.
