Slovak Ambassador to India Robert Maxian has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming three-day visit to Slovakia from June 14-16 as 'historic, strategic, and symbolic.' This marks the first in-person meeting between the Prime Ministers of both nations, a significant milestone since Slovakia's independence in 1993. Maxian highlighted that India-Slovakia relations have strengthened since 2022, with regular high-level meetings enhancing political dialogue. The annual meetings between the foreign ministers have addressed common interests and crucial aspects of bilateral ties. Maxian noted that the countries are collaborating across various sectors, including business investment, cyber security, and green energy, and he expressed confidence in further deepening cooperation in multilateral forums. The visit follows previous diplomatic engagements, including President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Slovakia last year, underscoring the evolving relationship between the two nations.
