In a notable incident in Sahibganj town, Jharkhand, India, a spotted deer was rescued after it wandered into a residential area near the electricity office. This marked the first time such a rescue had occurred in the urban locality, drawing significant attention from local residents who gathered to witness the event and document it with their mobile phones. Forest officials speculated that the deer may have strayed from nearby forests or hilly regions, possibly disoriented. Unfortunately, during the treatment process, the deer succumbed to its injuries and stress. Forest ranger Pancham Dubey noted that the animal was extremely frightened and struggled to escape the crowd, which likely contributed to its panic and subsequent death. A post-mortem examination was conducted by veterinary doctors to ascertain the precise cause of death. Following the examination, the carcass was respectfully buried within the forest department premises in accordance with established protocols.
